New routes from
Shannon to several destinations across Europe

New Irish Low Cost Airline EUJet has announced the launch of several routes linking Shannon to Dublin, Kent (via Dublin), Geneva, Murcia, Faro and Malaga., and Dublin to Kent International Airport.

The New Airline which is headed by former Ryanair boss PJ McGoldrick, has estabilished its main hubs at Shannon and Kent Intrnational, and has announced its intention to fly to up to 27 destiantions by the end of the year.

From Kent the Airline will fly to: Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin, Amsterdam, Glasgow, Madrid, Copenhagen and Milan.

Furthermore the Airline will operate also on SKI routes starting from December, with direct flights linking Kent to Geneva, Zurich, Turin, Toulouse and Salzburg.

Given the lastest developments in the Irish Aviation Industry with the collapse of two Low Cost carriers in the last three months and the disappearance of a further one before even starting in Summer 2003 (FreshAer), it's important to point out that EUJet has already been granted approval by the Irish Aviation Authority and is also licensed by the Commission for Aviation in Ireland.

Jetgreen Airways has collapsed after just one week

New Irish Low Cost Airline JetGreen Airways has announced the suspension of all its services after just one week since starting.

The announcement was given to the media today. The airline reported that it will not repatriate any passenger from abroad, and has advised those who purchased their tickets to file a compensation claim to the Commision for Aviation Regulation.

Jetgreen Airways didn't give any reason for the collapse.

The Airline had caused controversy earlier last week when it emerged that even though it was already taking large numbers of advance bookings no application had been filed for landing slots at Dublin Airport.
